Chinese streetwear label Clot teamed up with cruz nike back in 2006 to release a special rendition of the Air Max 1 dubbed, “Kiss of Death” to celebrate the opening of China’s first sneaker boutique ACU. 15 years later, the popular collab is set to return in 2021.
The shoe pays homage to Clot’s Chinese roots reflective by “Chi,” that’s known as spiritual energy that flows through the human body connecting it with the universe.
Dressed in a Net, Deep Red, and Orange Blazer color scheme. In celebration of Air Max Day, this version of the “Kiss of Death” Air Max 1 comes with a few notable changes such as a perforated toe, reflective heel tab and new graphics for the insole and outsole. Clot also enlisted 4PK’s Chef in the campaign further highlighting the sneaker’s Chinese traditional medicine inspirations.
