While 2022 celebrated the 50th Anniversary of the Cortez, it seems as if Nike Sportswear waited to 2023 to really start honoring the James of Bill Bowerman’s iconic design. As a follow up to Edison Chen’s kung-fu inspired “CLOTEZ” releases back in February, the running silhouette has surfaced in a new split White and Black “Yin and Yang” color scheme.

nike air force 1 1 gs swoosh compass size Nike Cortez comes constructed in a full Sail build with a removable zippered tongue shroud. It features White covering the lateral side and two box, while Black is used on the medial. Swooshes, tongues, heels, pull tabs, and insoles are split to give off that “Yin and Yang” vibe. A solid White rubber sole with a Black stripe on the midsole completes the design.
