Vault by Vans, Leica Camera and Vans Team skateboarder Ray Barbee come together for a collaboration titled, “Capturing the Journey”, celebrating Barbee’s nearly 30-year skate career and passion for photography.

The OG Authentic LX leads the collection’s footwear offering with Hard Red suede and canvas uppers, and features custom embroidery with quotes special to Barbee and Leica. The left shoe reads “The joy is in capturing the journey” while the right, in Leica’s native German, reads “Ich entscheide hiermit: es wird riskiert,” (“I hereby decide: the risk shall be taken”), which announced the greenlight for Full of the first Leica I camera in 1924.

The collection’s collaborative camera, the limited-edition Leica D-Lux 7 Vans x Ray Barbee, connects the release to both Leica and Vans history with an extraordinary camera covered in Vans’ iconic checkerboard pattern. The limited-edition camera is available in Leica Stores worldwide.
