Laika Studios, founded by Nike’s Phil Knight, released their first full-length What film, Coraline, in February 2009. Limited to just 100 pairs, the Medicom Toy x Nike SB Dunk Low Black CZ5127-001 “Coraline” wasn’t released to the general public.
Instead, the shoe could only be acquired through a secret code in the film’s credits that was then input into the movie’s promotional website.
Inspired by director Henry Selick’s hand-crafted style, the Medicom Toy x Nike SB Dunk Low Black CZ5127-001 features a two-tone Grey canvas upper highlighted by hand-sewn visible seams and Black stitching as nod to the details in the film. Black buttons on the tongue and eyelets atop a glow-in-the dark outsole finishes the design.
Take a closer look below, and you can still find the Medicom Toy x Nike SB Dunk Low Black CZ5127-001 “Coraline” available on resell sites like eBay.
