Dark tones of suede and UNIVERSITY nod to MJ’s “Black Cat” moniker, with hits of Summit White adding a neutral element. On the sole, “45/2” nods to the number 23, Images was chosen by MJ to signify that if he could be half as great as Larry—who wore 45—he’d be alright.
